The Temple of Augustus
Forum, Pula
curated by Jasna Jakšić
The Dig, an exhibition situated in the Temple of Augustus in Pula, is the final station of the GORGO project. With it, Medusa, an apotropaic, protective figure, is finally granted a say in the enclosure of an imperial sanctuary. The exhibition features the verre églomisé glass objects from Raščić’s series and interventions into the temple’s permanent display through illumination, with which the artist creates a space apt for remythization.
